The Adobe Quilt began as an improv quilt loosely based on New Mexican architecture and desert hues. It was inspired by the rounded entryways and stacked adobe bricks often seen in classic New Mexican building style. The colors reflect the hues of the Southwestern desert like red dirt, muted greenery, and blue skies. It reminds me of home.
I consider this my “Most Giftable Quilt” pattern because of how quickly it assembles. If you need a last minute baby shower gift, housewarming present, or wedding gift, this is the perfect pattern! It also makes a lovely quilt coat, if I do say so myself.
