Introducing the Flowerette Quilt

The Flowerette Quilt was designed in collaboration with Art Gallery Fabrics to feature the newly released Vert Fusion Collection. Both the collection and the pattern have a soft, whimsical designs that will add comfort and lightness wherever they land.
Introducing the Flowerette Quilt

The Flowerette Quilt pattern is a block-based design at an Advanced Beginner skill level. It offers 2 sizes - Baby and Throw- although additional blocks may be easily added to increase the size.

It also incorporates curved pieces into each block to create the “flowerette” design in the center of the quilt. Individually piecing curves is time-intensive, so to streamline the process this pattern offers an option to use inset circles to fabricate 4-at-a-time curved pieces. It is an innovative technique to maximize your sewing time. The pattern includes detailed instructions on the process and an accompanying blog post and video tutorial (subscribe to my YouTube channel!) to walk you through the steps. You may hear “curved pieces” and “inset circles” and be tempted to run for the hills, but give it a try! Many of my testers were new to sewing inset circles, but after experimenting with the technique - they loved it.

If you love the earthy-toned version, it’s a baby size (36” x 36”) made with Kona Cotton Solids. Kendra at Piece Fabric Co. will have baby and throw size kits available featuring the colors below.

If you are interested in recreating the original throw size version using the Vert Fusion Collection, I have partnered with Cottoneer Fabrics to offer kits.

If you are looking for a fun, colorful rendition, Jennifer of Hollis Threads has this gorgeous bundle available in her shop. Isn’t it amazing?! Custom versions are also available at Cutting Bolts and The Fabric Haus.

I am excited to see your versions of Flowerette begin to fill my feed. Use the hashtag #FloweretteQuilt and #wellspringdesignspatterns for inspiration from other makers. And tag me @wellspringdesigns_co because there’s nothing I love more than to watch you make these designs your own. I hope they bring as much love and joy to your world as they have to mine.
